Ingverjevo pivo Ginger beer

Včeraj sva imela v Logatcu dodatno poznopoletno
malo rojstnodnevno zabavo za nekatere zamudnike,
ki so končno prišli s počitnic.

Yesterday we had an additional
late-summer mini birthday party in Logatec
for some people who missed the first one
because they were away on holidays.

rožice je nabrala Dolores, vstopnici za eno od predstav
festivala Komedija pod zvezdami pa nama je podarila Katarina;
flowers were picked by Dolores and tickets for one of the shows
of the festival Comedy under the stars on Ljubljana's castle
were a gift from Katarina:

My sister made us very happy by bringing her famous tiramisu,
one of our favourite desserts!

Tokrat sva pripravila ingverjevo pivo.
Sestavine zanj nama je že sredi julijakot darilo prinesla Mirova sestra.
Recept zanj od Jamieja Oliverja sva preizkusila že pred leti,
tokrat sva ponovila po spominu.

This time we prepared ginger beer.We got ingredients for this drink as a birthday present
in the middle of July from Miro’s sister.
We tried this recipe from Jamie Oliver few years ago already,
but this time we repeated it as we remembered it.

Ingver naribaš, potreseš s sladkorjem in dodaš nasekljane
limonine lupinice, pretolčeš v možnarju,
pustiš, da se vse prepoji in dodaš še limonin sok.
Precediš in dodaš gazirano vodo, vejice sveže mete
in pripravljen imaš okusen osvežilni napitek!

You grate ginger root, add sugar and chopped lemon peel.
You grind everything in a mortar,
leave everything to mix together and add lemon juice.
Then strain it, add soda water and fresh mint
and here you have a delicious refreshing drink!
