Dva črna psa Two black dogs

Vsem, ki vas je skrbela tale otožna kužika,
sporočam, da ji ni bilo hudega,
le malo se je smilila sama sebi.

Razloga za najino bivanje v Logatcu konec avgusta
sta bila čuvanje hiše in predvsem dve črni zverinici,
Bistra in Pika, mama in hči,
ki sva se ju v odsotnosti gospodarjev trudila zabavati.

Večino časa sta objokovali kruto usodo zapuščenih psov,
imeli pa sta tudi svetle trenutke;

For all of you who were worried about this sad dog,
let me comfort you that she was quite alright,
just feeling a bit sorry for herself.

The reasons for our stay in Logatec
at the end of August were house-sitting
and most of all trying to entertain two little black beasts,
Bistra and Pika, mother and daughter,
while their owners were away on holidays.

Most of the time they were crying over
the cruel destiny of abandoned dogs,
but they also had some bright moments:

Rada imam I love

Današnji deževen dan si bom popestrila tako,
da bom dežničke z ene svojih zelo starih
AVGUSTvarjanja slik na steklu
prepletla z izzivom, ki sem ga
danes dobila od mavrične Andreje.

Pravila te simpatične igrice med drugim velevajo
napisati 10 stvari, ki jih imaš rad.
Spisek bi šel seveda lahko v neskončnost,
tukaj in zdaj pa so se nanj v trenutnem navdihu
uvrstile naslednje »stvari«;

I’m planning to make the best of this rainy day
by combining little umbrellas from my very old
AVGUSTvarjanja painting on glass
with the challenge that I got from
“rainbow” Andreja today.

The rules of this cute little game among other things say,
that you should write 10 things you love.
My list could go into the infinity,
but here and now I’m choosing these “things”
by a current inspiration:

Gozdove, njih tišino, vonj
in pravljično skrivnostnost.

Forests, their nice smell, silence
and fairytale mysteriousness.

Mediteransko hrano, povezanost z naravo,
uživanje in metuljčke v trebuhu.

Mediterranean food, being one with nature,
enjoying and falling in love again.

Stara mestna jedra,
pohajkovanja in odkrivanje zgodovine.

Old town centers,
wandering around and discovering history.

Morje, sonce, poležavanje na plaži,
sol na koži in pesek med prsti.

Sea, sun, laying on the beach,
sand between toes and salt on the skin.

Jazz, njegov večni čar
in nepozabne vokale, ob katerih dobim mravljince.

Jazz, its eternal charm
and breathtaking vocals causing shivers down my spine.

Zeleni čaj, posedanje v dvoje
in opazovanje sveta.

Green tea, seating in pair
and observing the world.

Vonj ošiljenih svinčnikov,
pravkar pečenega kruha
in sveže pokošene trave.

The smell of sharpened pencils,
just baked bread
and freshly mowed grass.

Knjige, mir, oddaljene svetove in sanjarjenja.

Books, peace, faraway places and daydreaming.

Pokrajine, prave in tiste v ljudeh,
njih barve, neodkriti svetovi in pričakovanja.

Landscapes, the real ones and those inside people,
their colours, undiscovered worlds and expectations.

Zven portugalščine in vznemirljivost
številnih tujih kultur.

The sound of Portuguese and excitement
of all sorts of foreign cultures.

Na koncu naj bi izbrala 10 novih ljudi,
da nadaljujejo to igro.
Malo bom pogoljufala in priredila po svoje:
igrico lahko nadaljuje vsak-a,
ki se je kdajkoli oglasil-a na mojem blogu
in že dolgo ni premišljeval-a o svojih najljubših rečeh.

Zabavno je, predvsem pa nas opomni,
da stvari niso samoumevne!

At the end I was suppose to choose

I will cheat a little by letting everyone
who ever commented here on my blog to continue it,
if she/he didn’t think about her/his
favourite things for a long time.

It’s fun and most of all it reminds us
that things are not self evident!

Jagoda sredi trga Strawberry in the market square

Pred enim letom točno na današnji dan
sva bila sredi največjega trga v Belgiji,
v Sint-Niklaasu, kjer so postavili
toplozračne balone posebnih oblik;

market square in Belgium, in Sint-Niklaas,
watching special-shape hot air balloons:

Popotovanje neke slike Journey of a painting

Včeraj sem s staršema v Piran peljala sliko,
ki jo je naslikala moja sestra.

Preden pa smo jo dostavili na cilj,
smo jo zabavali in kratkočasili z ogledi lepih krajev;

Yesterday me and my parents went to Piran
transporting the painting that my sister painted.

But before we delivered it to the desired place,
we amused and entertained it with a bit of sightseeing:

Večinoma slika z olji,
zadnje čase pa je začela razvijati nov, mešani slog.
Z reliefi, ki jih dobi z nanašanjem
odrabljenih čajnih lističev na svoje umetnine,
doseže učinek, ki je seveda čarobno poseben;

She mostly paints with oils,
however lately she started to develop a new style with reliefs,
which she gets by applying used tea leaves.
The effect is of course magically special:

Naprodaj je moja nova AVGUSTvarjanja slika na steklu - Srečni mehurčki. :)
No, pravzaprav ni nova, sem jo pa polepšala.

Par let domovanja v nekem razstavnem prostoru ji je namreč pustilo posledice -
– k meni se je namreč vrnila z manjšo brazgotinico.

Najprej sem imela namen prebarvati le tisti delček slike, nastalo pa je tole;

My new AVGUSTvarjanja painting on glass - Happy bubbles :) is for sale.
Well, actually it isn’t new, I just freshened it a bit.

Few years of hanging in a showroom didn’t leave it without consequences –
- it returned to me with a tiny scar.

My first intention was to repaint just that little piece of the painting, but the final result is this:

Ob tej priložnosti pa pozdravljam tudi
