:) [slika 1]
V kokosovem olju ocvrte cvetače, potresene s kumino, poprom, zeliščno soljo in kurkumo za kosilo. Njami! :) [slika 3]
Tokrat le ta trio utrinkov z današnje čudovite nedelje. Več posnetkov sledi v prihodnjih dneh.
Only a few years ago I found out for a distant relative of mine, who was an enthusiastic photographer, so today at the flea market, actually an antiques fair, in Ljubljana we bought a book, his photo-journal of the First World War. [picture 2] There are really a lot of keen photographers in our family! :)
At the same time there was a medieval fair going on at the square across the river. It was fun, loud, colourful and so eye-catching! [picture 1]
In coconut oil fried cauliflower bouquets sprinkled with cumin, pepper, herbal salt and curcuma for lunch. Njami! [picture 3]
For now just this trio of captured moments from today’s wonderful Sunday. More photos to come in following days.
Kosilo se medtem ni prismodilo – krompirjevi zapečenčki s kurkumo in muškatnim oreškom na posteljici iz kislega zelja – in zdaj, ko so gospod odfrčali v nebo, grem s svojim pasjim pomočnikom oddelat še kratko popoldansko »peko piškotkov«. :)
While Miro was baking lunch, I wasn’t baking cookies as someone would have thought [or wished :)] looking at those cute boxes. After (too)long time I wanted to renew my stocks of ceramics pieces for my new mosaic project.
Just a moment of carelessness was enough that I lost my hammer and didn’t get it back any more. :)
The lunch didn’t burn meanwhile – potato roasties with curcuma and nutmeg put on a layer of sauerkraut – and now when mister has flown up in the sky I’m going to do another short afternoon “cookie baking” with my little dog assistant. :)
In umetnost?
Three artists, a designer, a painter and an architect, who join together their expressions under the name CYP2C9, this time decided to confront art and money.
At last night’s interesting exhibition in the Faculty of Economics, where the closing was symbolically replaced with its opening, I was most impressed by the abacus. It clearly showed how cruelly we are all trapped in this world of money, which calculates with heads. The money just mingles on the most precise and cold way and it does not create any new content at all.
But of course, it would be so much easier to blame it on the money. The money could be a value. It could even be an art, if the headest heads would not head-around this ancient calculator.
And the art? The art does not need the calculator, it does not want to be caught between these bars of calculative dullness, but it does need free heads with hearts.
At the beginning of a new school year when I was 10 years old a teacher told us to draw the forest on the hill that we saw from our windows.
We looked at each other with surprise in our eyes and we were all thinking - phew! what an easy task this is - as it was the time like this, when the tree-crowns didn’t get their autumn colours yet.
But when we coloured a few crowns she stopped us and then I got one of the lessons that stayed till now. She said to us, that we should look at the forest again and we’ll see that there are more shades of green in there than just one.
Hvala, Petronella! :)
It was only now, at the end of summer holidays, when the worst heat and crowd are a bit more bearable, that we dared to turn one of our birthday gifts into a reality.
