Ogenj, kri in pogum
Fire, blood and courage

Končno sva obiskala enega najpomembnejših spomenikov druge svetovne vojne pri nas. Resda se je dražgoška bitka odvijala sredi zime, a podobe umetnikov, arhitekta Kobeta, kiparja Batiča in slikarja Šubica, so na meglen turoben poletni dan prav srhljivo zaživele in priklicale ogenj, kri in pogum. Kje sta danes hvaležnost in spoštovanje?

We have finally visited one of the most important monuments of the Second World War in our country. It is true that the Battle of Dražgoše took place in the middle of a severe winter up in the hills, but the images of our artists, architect Boris Kobe, sculptor Stojan Batič and painter Ive Šubic, recapture fire, blood and courage so hair-rising vividly on a foggy and dreadful summer day as well. Where are our gratitude and respect today?
