Z morja Za mizo

Ko sva se vrnila z morja, naju je v nabiralniku čakala knjiga, ki sva jo naročila pred kakim mesecem, ko ni šla še niti v tiskarno, in nato nanjo kar malo pozabila.
 
Je pa zato bila toliko lepše presenečenje in sva takoj naslednji večer preizkusila edini namaz, za katerega sva pač takrat imela vse sestavine pri roki, čebulni che (na sliki), ki nama je bil zelo všeč in sva računala, da, tako piše v knjigi, se bo v hladilniku upiral še kak teden, pa so nama ga, ker se je stvar seveda razvedela, naslednjega dne v najini odsotnosti speljali za zabavico, na katero sva bila sicer vabljena, a ko sva prispela tja, sva lahko le še pomazala skledico.
 
No, pa je prišel konec tedna, ko sva se namenila prirediti fotoogled najinih morskih potepanj, in sva rekla, nič, gremo na naslednji namaz, artičokasti arty, in upava, da ga kaj ostane še za naju kasneje za večerjo pa mogoče še za zajtrk, pa spet ni šlo.
 
Naslednji v vrsti so smrdo, pečakuča in toska. Takrat ne vabiva nikogar! :)

When Miro and I returned from the sea there was a cookbook about spreads waiting for us in the mail. Right away the next evening we tried the only spread we had ingredients for at the time, an onion one (in the photo above).
 
We liked it very much and we thought that it would last for a week, just like it says in the book, but because the word spread around it was, in the time of our absence, swiped out of our refrigerator for a next door party we’ve been invited to, but when we arrived all we could do was to wipe the bowl.
 
So there it came, the end of the week when we wanted to host a photo presentation of our vacation adventures and we said ok, let’s go to the next spread, of artichoke, hoping that there will be enough of it just for the two of us later for dinner or maybe even breakfast the next morning, but nothing again.
 
All spreads have original and funny made up names. We already have a few favourites waiting in line, but then we’re not inviting anyone! :)
