V zavetju s slamo kritih hiš In the shelter of thatched-roof houses

Na Jurčičevo domačijo, muzej na prostem na Muljavi,

me vežejo tako prijetni spomini iz otroštva,

ko smo jo obiskali ob zaključku nekega šolskega leta.

Toliko let kasneje pa sem si ob knjižnih policah in drugih kulisah,

ki so postavljene med s slamo kritimi hišami,

zamišljala čudovite gledališke predstave,

ki tu potekajo pod milim nebom.

I have such nice childhood memories of Jurčič homestead, an open air museum in Muljava.

We visited it once at the end of the school year and we had a great time that day!

And now, so many years later, looking at bookshelves

and other theatre scenery standing among those cute old thatched-roof houses,

I imagined magnificent performances that take place here under the open sky.
