Kakor jih imam rada, take rokavice, kjer so prsti svobodni, pa obstaja meja, ki jo hitro presežem in rabim navadne rokavice. Sčasoma sem sicer razvila polno akrobatskih načinov ravnanja s fotoaparatom v takih primerih, ampak to ni to, možnosti so v vsakem primeru omejene.
Zgornje rokavice so rezultat.
I thought I was through with gloves for this season, especially because of the high temperatures in March, but I was wrong. I recruited them again in April, only the fingerless pairs of course.
As much as I love this kind, there is a line and I, unfortunately, I cross it quite quickly. But I’ve developed acrobatic ways to handle my camera on days that are too cold for fingerless gloves, but options are limited of course.
My mum has made special photo-gloves for my dad once, but I’m extra sensitive to cold, so I’ve been making up a suitable design for my photo-needs, too, with so complicated design growing in my head that I hardly dare to present it to her to help me knit them one day. :)
So, I remembered that I forgot to post what I made from this and this for Miro’s niece in February. Photos above are the result.
I asked my mum to help me make gloves similar to one of those that she had made me once, the kind that you can unfold them and cover your fingers if you want them to be a bit warmer.
For Miro’s niece I just chose a different colour and added some beads, all resembling the colour of the sea, because she spends most of the year close to it and I’m inclosing also one February colour-matching photo to this post to officially end the gloves season.
There are predictions of temperatures up to 28 ºC (=over 80 ºF) for the upcoming holidays here, so I think that now I can really put all my winter accessories away, hm? :)
